Bio
A.J. is a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at IUPUI. For undergraduate studies he attended the University of Portland where he obtained a BA in psychology. While he attended the University of Portland A.J. worked as a research assistant for his adviser Dr. Andrew Downs. Upon graduating A.J. worked as a research assistant at the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) on a grant evaluating the implementation and impact of medication assisted treatment to treat opioid use disorder throughout the state of Oregon.
Currently A.J. is interested in research regarding severe mental illness, depression, suicide, substance use, stress, and burnout especially as they relate to the restaurant industry.
